Battle Kart has finally arrived in Australia, after captivating fans in France, Germany, Belgium, and beyond since 2021. This thrilling go-karting experience uses advanced technology to turn a regular ride into a 90s video game adventure. Checkout BattleKart Melbourne this weekend!
Hop into an electric kart with sensors that prevent collisions, eliminating the need for helmets. As you race around the 3000-square-meter track, virtual game elements are projected onto the track by hundreds of projectors, lights, and sensors.
The venue opened on Wednesday, April 3rd, and promises to be a hit with both adults and children. The track itself is a virtual marvel, with no physical obstacles on the floor. Everything is projected from the ceilings and walls, creating a Mario Kart-like experience. You can drive into projected objects to collect them and use them to shoot at other racers or defend yourself.
There are various games you can play on the track:
BATTLE KART: The standard race where up to 12 drivers can collect advantage packs to use against others.
BATTLE COLOUR: Teams follow their designated color around the track.
BATTLE SNAKE: Similar to the classic Nokia snake game, drivers collect colored balls to grow their snake, with the longest snake winning.
BATTLE FOOT: Like soccer in go-karts, teams try to score goals by hitting a ball displayed on the ground.
BATTLE POOL: A giant pool/billiards game on the track.
The electric karts ensure no harmful gases fill the warehouse. For those who prefer to watch, there’s a snack bar available.
