Marvel Stadium

There’s a lot to love about the new redevelopment of Marvel Stadium but one thing that really stands out – the food.

There’s a lot to love about the new redevelopment of Marvel Stadium but one thing that really stands out – the food.

Part of the plan was to bring the whole Marvel Stadium precinct to life even outside of game day or events and their new restaurants and bars are keeping this true. The quality, world-class cuisine that Melbourne is renowned for can be found at Marvel Stadium.

The new kid on the concourse brings you Friends of Fire and Amphora by Culinary Directors Shannon Martinez (Smith & Daughters, Lona Misa) and Aaron Rodriguez (The George on Collins)

Friend Of Fire, a New York-style bistro smashing out great grills, super salads, and deli classics like the Reuben sandwich. It’s also got a great bar area if you just want a drink and a snack.

Upstairs is the more formal Amphora. This beautiful room is also very New York as is the menu. There’s a delicious veal Parmi, aged rib eyes and scotch fillet, but if you love plant-based food, you’re in for a treat. Try the plant-based steak with chimichurri or the plant-based buttermilk fried chicken with waffles. Sensational.

Of course, Medallion Club members can dine at high-street restaurants such as Lee Ho Fook by Victor Liong, Gallery by Adrian Richardson, but it’s the public areas where things have really changed. Melbourne institutions like Gradi Pronto pizza, Hunky Dory fish and chips, Gami chicken and 8-Bit burgers are serving up their specialties to sports fans and event goers alike.

To pre-book your next night out at any of the new restaurants including Friends of Fire and Amphora, head to Marvel Stadium website.

There’s a whole new game at Marvel and it isn’t on the field!
