Located in Kings Domain on St Kilda road, the Shrine of Remembrance is celebrating their 90th anniversary this year. A significant monument in dedicated to peace and remembrance. With the morning light illuminating the Shrine, our host, joined by a knowledgeable tour guide, leads viewers on a thoughtful tour of this landmark. We delve into its impressive architecture and meaningful history, focusing on the quiet dignity of the Sanctuary and the stories of those honoured here.
The Shrine monument is surrounded by 13 hectares of gardens known as the Shrine Reserve. The Reserve encompasses gardens, sculptures, water features and memorials and more than 250 commemorative plaques and memorial trees.
Open daily 10am–5pm (last entry 4.30pm). Free admission.
